Vulto Violeta (someday someone will have to explain this name) sounds just so fresh and from the first moment on each song track. The album never gets boring; every single piece is on it simply great. Songs like “
Olhos Fixos", "Velas", “O tempo dirá", the bass, guitars and synths, with the vocals in Portuguese (except
Kiss in Time) give to the songs a very special touch..
The album begins with the track “Codigos proibidos”. I used the translator and the meaning is forbidden codes (I supposed and assume things about the soul). and so I enter into the imaginary world of Vulto Violeta with “
Olhos Fixos” as the title of the album suggest.
I cannot choose my favourite song cause all of them have beautiful melodies like “Poderia Imaginar", “Ultima Morada” or “Ausente". If the bass, and voice,in my opinion, are the soul of the band. The guitar and synths or the drums are the
Heart.
I could compare the sound of the album “
Olhos Fixos" by Vulto Violeta with other post punk bands or darkwave sounds, as
Suspiria, Screams for Tina,
Noctivagus or
The Cure. But I still prefer this comparison be made by whoever listens the album as I've heard.
