Stefan Olsdal was born 1974 in Göteborg (Sweden). Soon he moved to Luxembourg and attended American International School of Luxembourg along with Brian Molko.
Stefan and Brian met each other again in London, there they formed Placebo together.
At first Stefan was playing drums school's orchestra but then he decided that playing drums wasn't his passion. Currently he plays bass guitar in Placebo, also he does guitar, piano, xylophone and back vocals.
