Armies & Oceans is a Phoenix based band made up of 5 members. They began playing in October of 2011.

The original members began with Brandon Baker (rhythm guitar), Cody Ray (drums), and Brianna Willis (lead vocals). Focusing mainly on writing songs the first 6 months of being together, they recorded their first EP with Scott Leader of Brick Road Studios in Scottsdale, AZ.

A year and a half into playing, Armies & Oceans welcomed bass player, Keith Ferreira, into the band. They played frequently at their home church, Last Day Revival Center, as well as several small acoustic venues such as Le Chalet, Crossroads Bookstore, Elevate Coffee House, A Shot of Java, and Sam Ash. They continued writing songs and adding covers of artists similar to their sound giving them more versatility.

In January of 2013, they played their first major show at the Arizona P.F. Chang’s Rock & Roll Marathon in Tempe. Finally, lead guitarist Chris Cleland joined the band giving Armies & Oceans the final touch that they needed to make their unique sound whole.

With a complete band, they've played several shows at venues including The Marquee Theatre, The Nile-Underground, and The Red Owl in AZ and Rock the Boat Music Festival in CA. In 2013 they recorded a five song EP titled "Fingerprints", followed by another 5 song EP July of this year which is yet to be titled.

The band prides themselves on making songs that are melodically and rhythmically creative with lyrics that are clean and relative to life situations.

They take musical inspiration from bands such as Switchfoot, Mayday Parade, Paramore, and Tonight Alive.
