Eastern Star was founded in 2000 upon the ashes of few, quite known local bands.

The aim was to do different music than we all did with our former projects. As usual, there were line-up changes as the band progressed and tried to find its sound and face.

In 2001, band entered Professional Sound Studio in Prague and with help of Pavel Hejè recorded its first five track CD called "Raising the dead".

During the first recording session and first full-length, Eastern Star tried to play as many shows as possible.

In winter 2002/2003, they hit the studio again and recorded 10 tracks for "Bitterending" CD. This time a different studio was chosen : all the recordings took place at Studio Hostivaø under the everseeing eyes of Zdenìk Šikýø. Bitterending CD was released as a split record between Hopewell records and Bulldog Music shortly after.

The plans are to hit the Studio untill the end of the 2004 to record another full-length. Watch out...
