Aerolith - Aerolith is a band committed to space rock. With meditative repetitive riff patterns and idols such as the fabulous Monkey3 which contributes a certain post rock edge they try to bring the melancholic atmosphere of the infinite reaches of space down to earth. The band is situated in Bischofshofen, Austria, and formed in 2014 as a new project out of the members of the band Vigor.

II - II - With their follow-up album II, Aerolith stay true to their version of space-rock with post-rock influences. Despite the omnipresent melancholy, there is a massive positive energy present in the songs that invites the listener to beam into a better world somewhere out there in space. Moreover, a somewhat more complex song-writing compared to their debut displays a musical maturation. Fans of Monkey3 should definitely check this album out.

Megalorama Part I - With their third installment Megalorama, Austrian space rock formation Aerolith set out to explore the deeper territory of what space rock can nowadays mean. Following the kraut rock tradition of shamelessly borrowing stylistic motives from other genres, these songs incorporate heavy stoner rock elements to even dark black metal parts. The use of complex harmonic scales makes all this a bit experimental, while the solid base of melancholic and repetitive spacy riff patterns holds it all together. Showing a greater stylistic variety and a more explorative approach to composition, this album is a recommendation for lovers of heavy psychedelic rock and proggy space rock.
