Le 16 septembre The Killers fêtait le 10ème anniversaire de son premier concert à Londres et comme cadeau d'anniversaire le groupe a annoncé qu'il publierait son premier Best-of le 11 novembre prochain.

Cette compilation, intitulée Direct Hits, comptera 15 titres dont deux inédits : "Just Another Girl" et "Shot at the Night" qui vient tout juste d'être dévoilé (voir ci-dessous).

Le leader du groupe Brandon Flowers a confié à NME que "cet enregistrement est un excellent moyen de faire table rase et de passer à autre chose" ("This record feels like a great way to clean everything up and MOVE onto the next thing")
