The band Firefly was founded in 2002. Although Firefly's music expression is usually categorized as rock, it draws from strong classical roots and often involves metal, pop and ethno influences. This multi-genre sound is achieved through a delicate interplay of piano, violin and guitar.

The band has spent the last six years concerting throughout Slovenia and abroad. They played on several festivals (Krawallhala and Vollumen festival in Austria, Oreng fest, Dobrrock and Rock Otočec in Slovenia) and participated in band competitions (Live Award, Newcomer, Simply the best contest, Rock Otocec etc.). Especially notable were the appearance at the famous Rock Otočec festival in 2007 and the second place award at the prestigious Newcomer festival in Graz, Austria.

Firefly's recordings have been played on several radio stations and festivals. They also held a live performance on the national television in the year 2008.
