JB Nelson records his own music. His music is not genre specific, JB Nelson is influenced by many different styles. From country to industrial, from experimental to blues, from bluegrass to noise. Describing his sound as experimental lounge and country, the one thing his songs do have in common, is the emphasis on the dark side. With disturbing lyrics, noise and haunting ballads, JB Nelson will not let you put him in a box and label him.

In 2008 JB Nelson was discovered by the American record label Devil's Ruin Records, where he released his debut album "Weeping Willows". Since the release with Devil's Ruin, JB has received much radio airplay at home and abroad along with good reviews of his unusual style of music.

JB nelson is currently signed to the Scottish Independent label Cheap Wine Records, where he has joined his brother Sleepy Eyes Nelson.

JB Nelson continues to barricade himself away somewhere in Scotland making music.
